    Run Two Batteries At Once?

    Hey Guys,

I just got this new Traxxas Y parallel connector and was wondering if it would be fine running two batteries at once. It would probably be a Venom 9.6V 5000mah battery and a Traxxas 8.4V 3000mah Stock Battery. Is this fine to run?

You could run two batteries in serries using a y connector or one made by yourself idaly with just as large wiring as the esc.

Batteries should match in their discharge rating . You could always use a 2s lipo with ac3s lipo of 5000 mah 35c ...as an example.
With Nimh, not too sure. But a mismatched discharge rate in the lipo could have disastor lingering on the corner.

Nope... it will not work properly and might cause some damage.

A parallel connection require that the voltages of the batteries are matched otherwise the lower voltage battery gets overcharged by the higher voltage one which may cause damage to the lower voltage battery.

If you want more power, switch to a Lipo. Nimh are just not capable of delivering the kind of power of a Lipo.

also, you are adding a whole bunch of extra weight... just run 1 battery, then when it dies, swap it for the other battery
