    Chassis makeover.

Well been seeing a lot of folks who dyed their chassis, and I've never really cared for my grey chassis it's just ugly too me. So after reading about it finally jumped the gun and stripped down the chassis and bought some dye. The results were pretty dang good, looks so much better now( well too me anyway!!). So here's my p4de with a newly dyed black chassis.before.afterdyed my esc fan cage also

Looking good. Did you make the metal plate that's lining the battery compartment?

Thanks it turned out very nice, yea I bought a piece of aluminum sheet metal and made that piece too hold down my velcro straps. I don't have the straps yet I'm still waiting on those too arrive in the mail, but the straps will go under the plate that way I can change straps with ease, and not have too cut holes in my chassis.

I think the truck looks way better with a black chassis. No matter which truck it is.

In the past all Traxxas chassis were black. There was a clamor for anything except black. Can't please all of the people all of the time.

This is why it's not Baskin-Robins 1 Flavor. You'd think Traxxas would have offered a few options all along.

So I'm sitting here bored after work, and I'm looking at my p4de and I'm thinking there's too much black between the chassis, a arms, etc. So I decided too do this, really looking good now. Orange is my favorite color if ya'll haven't noticed by now haha!!!

Looks good, model paint or something? That must not be the body you bash in, if so it sure is holding up good.

Started out using pactra rc paint but ran out and my buddy has some industrial tractor spray paint so I finished it with that kubota Orange #2. Yes that General Lee body is my bashing body, it's the only body I have besides the stock one( which is screwed up from crashes after only 2 weeks). I think I've had this body on it around a month with numerous crashes, cartwheels, etc and still in good shape. Only thing that has happened too it is one back body post is starting too crack slightly but that's it's. Can't tell in pics but the outside is scratched up a lot on the outside but still looks great, these pro line bodies seem too be pretty tough, can't imagine how good they would be with the shoe goo mod.
