ESC help

Hello

I recently purchased a Traxxas Slash with a Hobbywing Brushless ESC and motor (Extreme Stock PN: 81020010,81020011).

I did not receive a programming card or wires to connect it to anything. Is there some way I can program the ESC without these tools..?

I am not familiar with this product and have heard both positive and negative feedback. The truck is going to be for the wife to use so I want something hassle free....or should I just convert back to the velenion system..??

FYI the radio is the old antennae style and receiver...both Traxxas.
