The threaded stock isn't bad. I used the recommended non-vxl steering links on my son's truck and he broke them pretty fast. He likes big air. I went with 4mm ss threaded stock and wish I had gotten the bigger 8-32 (? I think) stock. The 4 is fine, it just feels loose. It hasn't shifted or slipped and hasn't bent even after some monster airs (and crashes) at the bmx track. Other than those options I haven't heard anything here about there being a 4mm or larger premade link. The other nice thing about the threaded stock is that for $5 I got a meter of it so I can swap it in on my other cars if I break stuff.

I had the non-vxl ones and just cut the rod so that with the long rod ends it ended up the same length. I thinks the length is on the rpm website, but I'm not sure. I can try to measure my sons later on.
