    Diff/Slipper Clutch Question

    Hello Everyone:

i have a 2wd Stampede. when lifting up the back and turning 1 rear wheel manually, the opposite rear wheel barely turns. i remember from back in the day (just recently got back in R/C) that when turning the rear wheel one way, the other wheel should follow exactly the same, just in the opposite direction.

is this a sign the differential is loose or the slipper clutch is loose? as far as i can tell, it drives fine, but i do not want the diff to fly apart while i'm driving around or cause damage to any gears!

    thanks for any info!

Nope , in the air when you turn one, the other should turnthe other way howing that the diff work properly, in the case of the stampede,it is the planatery gear. Likewise if you power the truck with one tyre on the ground and one in the air, the tyre in the air will baloon extremely as all the power is transfered to that wheel.

Its hard to damage the transmision in a 2wd pede, unless you put a huge motor that will reap trough it.

Make sure that the gear mesh and slipper clutch are set properly , you should not have any problems.
