    shocks

so after some contruction yard bashing, i bent one of the stock rear shock shafts. instead of just replacing the shaft, i think im going to get some better shocks. will the traxxas big bore shocks fit? all the ones i look at say they are for the slash. i have a 2wd pede. are there better options than the big bore?

i do have the st racing aluminum front and rear shock towers if that makes a difference.

    thanks!

The big bores do fit, lots of people preffer the traxxas gtrs as they are slightly bigger and also can take the erevo dampening kit, which improves the function of the shocks.

You can also go for 1/8 shock mods like the D8 or get ascociated 1/8 shocks off chop shops on eBay for reasonable price.

Lots of people run aluminum shock towers and they are great, myself I like the RPM or evn stick to traxxas for the flex, but that should be just fine, st rc is also well reputed.

A lot of people think the Big Bores are bette than the Ultras. They aren't.... The BBs came to fruition before the Ultras existed.

What's your budget for new shocks? Proline powerstrokes are pretty pricey for what you get. A lot of the best shock upgrades out there can be found as 'take off' parts thru any number of ebay chop shops.

If you are strictly a basher, losi scte shocks are some of the best I have used. also the slash GTR shocks are decent for the money

Just a little info for you..... If you start your own thread more people will respond to YOUR question and double posts don't help either. With that said The RPM tranny is better than the Proline IMO but what do I know. Also check out HR composite tranny as that is the most recent one I am using and found it to be the better of all the one's I have tried, again IMO.

I have the powerstrokes and they are great shocks. Only problem you have to top the shock fluid off quite often. If you race they are great. If your bashing you can do better for the money. Believe it or not the ultras are very good shocks. Once you tune them properly they are hard to beat. All they really need are the TiN shafts and aluminum caps.
