    New Traxxas truck, the X-Maxx!

Check it out guys! Traxxas just posted this on the home page! It looks like a new truck called the X-Maxx! Here's the video! https://traxxas.com/video#/?playlistId=0&videoId=0 At the end of the video, there's more links to videos about it! Is has a self righting feature!

    https://traxxas.com/products/landing/X-Maxx/

What do you guys think? I love it!

EDIT: I already have a red one pre ordered through my LHS.

Wow. What's the size vs E-Maxx? Maybe the same but upgraded?

I'll bet it costs a thousand dollars. Lol

Seems more like a hYOOOOge monster truck slash or pede 4x4 than a maxx. But that isn't a complaint. I love the three piece "modular" design and the transmissionless design.

I was about to pull the trigger on a yeti kit. Now maybe I'll wait...haha.

On another note, there is about to be a lot of stuff up for sale in the MP!

I'm rebuilding a brushless E-maxx right now, but it looks like that's just been put on hold...

They're saying it'll cost $799, but I bet we can get it cheaper.

Either way I can't wait to get mine and see it in person!

Also to the nitro guys, think bigger. Think 2-stroke or 4-stroke gas powered!

My very thought, each time there is a 1/5 thread going up, cant wait but to dream of a gaz revo or maxx of that size.....

But this is awsome too, especially if it will cost only as you had mentioned.

I thought the same but didn't want to sound like a complainer. Hopefully it's in the works and they just can't release info yet. I can see someone already looking it over for a nitro mod.

The new XLX is suppose to come out in dec. It'll replace the xl2 that would be sweet set up in this monster

what do you think about this guys ?

The motor cradle installs with four screws, like a nitro engine would, and slotted screw holes allow gear mesh to be set. Movable pins in the chassis interface with the motor mount to set mesh automatically and prevent the motor mount from moving. The 1600Kv motor is supported from both ends, so hard hits won’t disrupt the gear mesh.

    Wow, very cool!!!

But, I don't like the idea of the shock towers being integrated into the chassis, it would be a royal pain if you broke one.

As much as I love my electric RCs, I don't like feeding them two batteries at once, might there be a 2-cycle gas version of this in the near future?

1600kv on 6S? I can tell you i run a 1650kv on 6S in my vmaxx and the power is INSANE (and barely controllable). Should be a good match for a truck this size.

If it's predicted at 700 that's not too bad. The xo1 started there and I just bought a nice lightly used one for something like 430. Hopes up? Haha

The XO-1 started at $1100. It eventually came down from that. I bought a used XO-1 several months after it first came out for $440 that included a lipo charger and some extra lipos. I crashed it a few times, spent $50 fixing it and sold it all for $650. Had it for about 2 months and hit 85mph. That was good enough for me.
