The image is misleading!! Draw a straight line horizontally across the photo at the bottom of the E-Maxx tires, THEN another line horizontally across the photo at the bottom of the X-Maxx tires. There is a noticeable difference - The X-Maxx is not as high as you may think at first glance of this photo.[/QUOTE]

I see the wheels have a different inner and outer diameter, like sc wheels. I would imagine its to help keep those massive tires from ballooning too much. This whole truck looks interesting.

Have you watched the video? The xmaxx passes a stampede and still the xmaxx towers over the stampede and the emaxx. Stampede and Emaxx are about 9" tall and the xmaxx is between 13"-14" tall not much but for rcs thats a big difference. As far as the picture... yeah it makes you think twice about how accurate it is. Biggest rc I've owns to date is a slash 4x4 so this will still be a monster for me. Interesting point you brought up.

Do research on it, and honestly, just wait. I'm super excited for it, and I kinda enjoy waiting for it for it's something to look forward to.

Xmaxx is bigger, just imagine the Summit next to a Emaxx and then look at the Emaxx/Xmaxx picture again. I have a Summit and it's smaller.

The only thing so far that really bugs me is the fixed shock positions. I'm sure a bracket could be fabbed up to make upper shock mounts adjustable, but it might not be smart to drill into the a arms. It reads to have non adjustable camber and toe too, but that's usually an easy custom fix.

I am not too worried about that since Traxxas usually has some good stock settings.

Haha of course. An optional upgrade 😩.

Then again, things like that may be why it's so relatively affordable.

This is true. And it's not like there will be any need for fine tuning for tracks. Although....if I had any friends in RC and could build a gigantic track for these things it'd be AWESOME!

I completely agree. In fact I live about half an hour away from an ohv motor park for at vs and offroad motorcycles. It's open to the public in fact I think it's actually in s state park. I will probably run my x maxx there when I get it.

I'm sure adjustability upgrades will eventually come.
This will TOTALLY work, saw a guy on YouTube do it

    Yep.

When your son falls off the X-Maxx and smacks his head, it makes a man out of him.

When your chimp falls off the X-Maxx and smacks his head, it is animal abuse . . . with probable ensuing criminal charges.

Bleh, proprietary parts and required to upgrade it to be comparably durable with the competition... Swing and a miss for me.

I don't think any of us can know yet how durable it will be vs the competition. My bet is that it'll be pretty tough! 💪I'm also okay with the proprietary parts. They are attempts to move the hobby forward, and I bet we will get adapters or aftermarket support for them. If not, I'm sure we will find ways to modify and adapt it to what we want.

I'm not even sure if I'll personally be able to get one but I'm so interested! 😄.

Any new parts / way of doing things, will be proprietary by definition. If they use the same parts then they get accused of not inovating. When you start somthing from 5he ground up its bound to have all new parts. The fact that this is true is evidence of Traxxas engineering this sucka to be a bad motha.

The one thing I noticed no one commenting on is how it would look towing the Spartan and launching it in the water. That would be so cool! How bout it GRustler I know your up to it.
Probably look better than this one and do a better job getting it up the hill at the end...

The only thing cosmetic wise I wish this truck came with is LED lights. So as of now I am already thinking and planning to get some light bars and Led lights for the body. Just an idea. I dont plan on using the self righting feature until I get a second body so I can trash one body and keep the other in good condition thats where my ideas are at right now. Anyone else planning on doing anything to their truck cosmetic wise since we dont know the handling yet?
