Here's a pic on the inside of the stock diff.
That pin holding those spider gears in is the one I'm referring too. After you pull those out and clean your diff cup you can look at the sides of the cup where that pin slides down and see if the pin slot is messed up. Mine was so bad that the gears had started eating through the cup, and also grinded a couple of my ring gear bolts down.

You have too pull your axles off, then remove your bearings, then you remove the 4 bolts on the ring gear which will give you access too the inside of the cup.

Both bearings shot, but I'm not sure about the guts

Great photo matt77tree! The XO-1 differential has metal inserts on the sides to spread out the load and prevent that pin from indenting the plastic housing. Very informative. Thanks.

Thanks. Now I'm curious if I'll be able to rebuild this one until that xo1 comes. Those bearings were totally gone so I'm glad to have the truck opened up. Wish we had a hobby shop within 100 miles

All you would need is a new cup, but if you already have xo-1 parts coming, I'd just wait on those. Did you order just gears or did you order the xo-1 cup as well?

If it was that much you must have ordered a complete diff, if that's the case it will be a drop in replacement.

Yeah I feel like the 2400 is kind of a dog on 3s ! So I'm thinking the 2650 would be more impressive on 3s ?

I've had the 2400 on 3s and it was far from being a dog, was actually pretty quick.

I agree with GeneralPede01. On 2s the 2400 was a dog but quite peppy on 3s. The 2650 is peppy on 2s (same battery and gearing). I measure "peppiness" based on the truck's ability to clear jumps, wheelies, speed, etc. E.g. the 2400 on 2s couldn't clear the triple jumps but the 2650 could.

That's great. Saying delivery 12/2 - 12/5, seems like a long time. I can drive 140 miles to Abell Hobby, but rarely have that much time

Agreed, the 2650 has more get up and go, but the 2400 is defiently no slouch on 3s, never tried 4s but I imagine it's pretty fast on 4s as well.

    2650kv speed and performance

I have no idea on that chassis, I run mine in a p4de. I'm sure it will require some modifications too the chassis but shouldn't be any more than you would take off a p4de or sl4sh hcg chassis.

I have the 2650 in my Sl4sh LCG. I have a great memory but it's short. I think it just goes right in with no fuss but the tryptophan is kicking in.

It fits with minimal modification. I think there is one part you have to cut off but that's it.

I think it has something to do with gearing. I have 2 lcg chassis's running the 2650 and had to do nothing to the chassis. While there's some that had to cut some post down where the stock esc mounts to. I also have a hcg chassis and same results nothing to trim or cut off.

My P4de MMv2 2650kv is geared at 18/54 currently but I'm fairly confident I can go up in gearing a lot and still keep temps in range on 3s LiPo.

My gearing in the 2400 for everyday use was 19/50 on 3s. Gearing for my 2650 for everyday use on 3 and 4s is 19/52.

I run 18 50 on 2s and 15 50 on 3s. I run them hard and a lot of times it's on my track that has a lot of braking and accelerating areas that tend to build up heat.

I favor the 2650 over the 2400. Simply because of the 5mm shaft and is a blast to drive with
