    40 series tires and wheels

So how can you get 40 series wheels to adapt to the 24mm hubs? Ive been looking and cant find anything accept the rc4wd adapters that are no longer made. Any suggestions?

My RC4WD Rockcrushers are 8.3" tall. They look awesome and they work good.

Yes some 40 series tires will be about the right size and yes 24mm wheels can be had you just gotta search. A better option would just be to use 1/5th scale tires and wheels that will be just right in size and hex size.

Thanks, I'll keep looking for some 24mm wheels. Gotta be out there somewhere.

Keep in mind the mounting Hub is keyed like the Revo...
Other wheels will not fit without mods, figure hub options from the usual suspects would be out quick that are not keyed.

I would expect other wheels to fit fine, since the axle hex is the negative of the TRX wheel hub.

I know what you mean though. I've used traxxas wheels/tires on my savage which has HPI 17mm hex hubs and had to cut the little blocks out of the rims to do so. I also used e-savage 17mm hex hubs on my revo instead of the TRX ones that egg out where they rub the threaded shaft and had to do the same to those.

Then at least on the revo, I had the brilliant idea of just cutting off the threaded part of the traxxas 17mm hub flush with the hex, then use the HPI 17mm flanged nuts. Now, I get better capture on the hex to make it less likely to strip AND I don't egg out the hub. Works great on both my revo's.

Now I just need a drill press to enlarge the TRX axle hub so I can use them the same way on my savage!
