Going to watch this review right now!

... Ok - watched it. Cool review and running video!

Showing how the truck sits upside down on its shock towers was very cool. Totally going to be useful for working on it. Nice design Traxxas!

Nice jump with a tabletop! Looks like you got an x-maxx workout turning and flipping that truck so many times. Are you sore? Haha! Great job man!

Ya that park is a blast to drive truck in! Funny you mention that, my arms were actually a little sore after filming that video...

How was the motor temperature after running on the stock gearing?

Do you think you could go up to a 16 tooth pinion and get some more top end and less wheelies, but not get motor too hot????

The motor temp was around 130-140, with it being 50 degrees outside. I plan to try a 16 tooth pinion when they come out too. I'd be willing to bet that you should be fine now in the winter time, but once it warms up to 80-100 degrees, you might run into temp issues. I have no idea for sure though. Time will tell.

I used CA glue to glue the screw back in, and the inner bumper loop doesn't affect how it mounts, so it doesn't matter. I got all of it on video, you should be able to view it in my LHS's review video of it hopefully by the end of the week.
Enjoyed the video, but I don't think any jumps were 20 feet high. That would be like jumping it over a single story house.

Thanks! I was running it on 6s, or two SPC 5000 mah 3s batteries. During the filming I ran it about 20 min, and the batteries still had plenty of charge.

    Thanks!

I had TSM turned completely off in the video. I just got really lucky with that one jump with my throttle/steering correction....

They're just BMX jumps for bikes, scooters, etc. I'm not sure what brand they are, they're old and beat up, all the markings are gone.

Looks like Traxxas could be shipping out early? Interesting. I'll call my Traxxas rep when I get to work and see what's up.

I have an old bicycle ramp like that I use also. It's awesome. It's designed in such a way that you can get huge air off of it, and it's very portable. I have seen them on eBay and walmart.com.

Man I wish! I have 13 inches of snow at my house! It took me 45 min travel 5 miles to LHS.... I"ll at least drive it in the deep snow tonight even if I don't get it on video I'll report back how it does.

Yep the top speed with stock gearing 35 mph on 6s. That's geared at 15/54. You could easily drop in a 18 tooth pinion and go faster. I plan on trying a 16 tooth pinion here shortly.

Sorry guys, it's still snowing here so I won't have a chance to try my X-Maxx in the snow for you guys tonight. On the bright side, I brought my LHS's nice video camera home with me tonight, and tomorrow's my day off, and since it's still snowing, there will be plenty of fresh snow to drive it in tomorrow.

Finshed my snow runs. I got plenty of cool video on 6s and 4s, but it was cut short. First, snow packs around the battery straps, locking them in place. I had to use a hair dryer to melt the snow to get the batteries out. But that takes forever. One of the battery strap mounts broke off because it was so frozen.

Last off, both front shocks broke. Both snapped the shock shaft off at the rod end. The truck weighed 30 pounds when I was done, so there was plenty of snow packed into it. I was also jumping it, so that didn't help either. I guess I was kinda asking for it, but it still makes me mad... Every single issue I've had with this is shock related. First they leaked, then I broke a shock cap, now this. I'll be upgrading them asap.

I'll have the videos, and pictures uploaded here shortly.
