    Self Righting failure to launch

Brand new X-Maxx doesn't want to activate the self righting feature. I flip it over, I hold the set button for four seconds, five seconds, ten seconds.... nothing happens. Anyone else have this problem?

    No problem here.

Are you touching the throttle or steering before or during the button hold?

Nope. Hands are off everything except the set button.

I hope you can turn this feature off! Looks like on the drivetrain. Why people want this astounds me!

For some people who have mobility issues its an astounding feature to have. If you dont want to use it, dont hold the button down.

    That would be me.

Traxxas designed this rig specifically for disabled folks like me. I was a test pilot for them last year.

This Holiday Inn internet is saweeet.

May need re calibration. I recommend reviewing the manual for a resolution. And suggest calling Traxxas if you can't find it via the manual.

This is a valuable feature for some.

Yeah I could see how this would help a lot of people. Simple solution would be to just not use it.

Luckily, Traxxas made turning the feature off very simple... You simply don't press the button.

I've tried recalibrating, but that also didn't help. I can't find anything in the manual. Looks like I'm the first one with a software issue, so I guess I'm calling Traxxas tomorrow.

I used this feature today during my first run of the xmaxx. Worked pretty well for me but I have to admit I cringed every time it rocked itself and loaded up the drive train. I think it will really be handy for avoiding the walk of shame.

Yeah, Traxxas phone support will help you out.

Is your throttle set to 50/50 or 70/30?

Just got off the phone with Traxxas. My throttle was set to 70/30. Traxxas said that the self righting feature won't work with the throttle set to 70/30. I set mine back to 50/50 and it works now.

It doesn't say this in the manual anywhere, so I hope this helps others if they stumble into this like I did.
