how fast can you make a Blast?

I know it is not the best hull for speed but they are available cheap.
How fast have you made yours? Any tricks to make it stable?
I am thinking a small brushless and 25 to 30 mph. I have a Spartan so I have no need
to try for max speed. Thanks, Don

I've seen a few brushless Blasts, but most of them end up the same way: They're a handful to drive. That said, have a look around the old forum posts, you should be able to dig up a couple of BL conversions.

I'm thinking a mild setup with a 1/16th size and maybe adding trim tabs or turn fin to help control. No desire to make a "100mph" blast, maybe 25 or a little more.
I see the blasts all the time on ebay for less than i can but a empty hull. Don

also there is a very real posibility of snaping the u joints in the driveshaft if you go brushless. 12t brushed, xl5 esc, 2s lipo seems to be the way to go.

I put a 12T in. Now I am waiting for spring to try it. Don
