    burning through rear half shafts

    ive rebuild trans, diff and dbl checked bearings, but am still burning through half shafts. any thoughts?

    Old style axles are notoriously weak and wll twist and break quite easily, especially if you throw in some power adders and a tight slipper.

    Speaking of which, how tight is your slipper? Completely locked slippers can lead to driveline breakage.

    i will have a chance to look at it later today and ill check the slipper and loosen it a bit.
