What did you do with your X-Maxx today?

To answer myself. I bought Louise Xcyclone wheels for my 8S Xmaxx and got rid of all balooning! They look good also but since I can't upload photos to the forum I have nothing to show

One thing tho is that before I used to be able to ride on top of loose snow but now it just sets in and get stuck. Could be that the snow got a bit wet today but I think the balooning might have made it possible to drive around in the snow before

Once again I had to order parts... RPM rear bearing and a pair of Louise RC wheels. I also put a tire in the oven (150°C) to unmount the tire from the wheel (traxxas Xmaxx original). It worked well.

No it did not I’m very happy about that I broke the rear bulkhead and shock tower as well as punctured one tire but it is super gluable
Also the front right axle carrier and steering knuckle are both broken but the axle is fine

Today I tested out my 3D printed air scoop. I changed the gearing to 18/54 on my 6S and instead of messing with cooling fans I figured this was an easier way to get more air down onto the motor. Looks pretty cool, too

... Nice job. I do like the part design and quality (at least on the pictures) but what about the body installation now?

Thanks! It was printed in glass filled Nylon which is pretty beefy stuff. Snaps onto the chassis rails and so far it stays put pretty well. The body fits on top of the air scoop no problem.

Nice gears, nice rides. Belt pulleys are not lined up, need to slide the pinion on the shaft more. I hope you have better luck than me with the belt drive. My pulleys didn’t have deep enough grooves, yours look similar. I had to put too much tension, so the bet didn’t slip, it then developed input shaft heat. Went with strong gears and never looked back.

Red Araldite packaging (fast one), bi-component epoxy
Not sure it's the strongest one (I think I have some "blue" heavy duty somewhere but I didn't find it)

They look cool, I’ve seen too many videos where they just don’t hook up though. I’m glad other vendors are making X-Maxx tires.

I do like the look they have. But I already have to entirely glue one of them. The interior side is totally free and makes the wheel ballooning. The second one presents the same issue but only for less than an half inch. About performance I can't tell. My skill level and experience are too low to be a reference. I think they hook well enough
