    What happened here?

Took the truck out for the first time today and found this on the front axle.
Is that some kind of gasket? I drove it very easy for the time being out, havn't had time to take it apart yet.
Do I need to buy parts already?
Not sure why the IMG html isn't working but here's the link:

That is your inner bearing seal that has come off the bearing it's a common problem with the x maxx take it apart pack the bearing with grease then put it back together rpm makes a better axle carrier with a bigger inner bearing it's a must on the x maxx

Go right to the source. In stock take about 4-5 days for delivery.

    https://www.rpmrcproducts.com/shop/a...raxxas-x-maxx/

    Or here: https://www.shadowhobbies.com/oversi...as-x-maxx.html

These guys are a local hobby shop I frequent regularly and I know for a fact they have many in stock.

    Pretty sure they ship anywhere.

Inner bearing seal. Cheap fix pack bearing with grease and pop seal back on. Will last u till replacement parts come. Or just cut off the metal ring with snips and put on grease on the seal area to keep the smoo out till new parts

At a minimum order up a set of replacement bearings for the inners. Best order a set of front and rear over sized hub carriers. ( No need to get stock inner bearings if going to rpm as they come with the inner bearings). Do get a bearing grease of you desired flavor. If don't have something already As rpm bearings come un greased

Where are you looking? The RPM website says they are in-stock.

The grease you have will work just fine

I use marine grease since I run on the beach and water and so on. So I little the little extra protection that offers me... Over standard 1:1 wheel bearing grease.

Imho I find all the bearings in the car to be lacking in grease for my play styles. And they tend to seize up fast if play in wet conditions slot and hose your car off. So I clean and repack every bearing on my car as I get access to them during other repairs. Year later and all the bearings I've checked so far are still butter smooth.
