    Hobbywing max 5 and 56113

Found this, it has everything I need to convert one of my xmaxxs to a monster.

    Thoughts?

I can buy the hobbywing stuff from anywhere but what are my options for a motor mount and gears.

Not terrible, if youre not super handy. Too much to pay if you are. Think the ESC is 200, my 5898 was 160, mount was 60, Rustler box 10ish, CF stock=not much. So yeah. Not a bad deal if you want someone else to build your ride, not judging, just saying.

    Somehow builds are never done....

I have the motor mount, esc plate, 25/35 gears. I run a max 5 and a hobbystar 56112 780kv motor, so pretty similar. Their products are very nice. I've had mine since April, no complaints. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the 3d printed reciever box. Everything is else is very nicely made and fits perfectly.

It’s all ordered. I’ll post up a video once it’s all in. I’ll update the thread with pix.

WFO are working up a gearing chart. So stock gearing can be compared to aftermarket gearing.
