Well 12vdc will burn a receiver up. You could just use it for the fans if you choose. But normally you’d connect it directly to the battery and RX. I set mine for 7.25vdc. Best for the receiver and servo. Stock receiver will not support above 6.

Just solder + and - to the esc battery connection from the BEC. Then set the voltage and use red and black output to power the fans. This is just an option. I’d use a different set of fans personally, get something a little less huge that runs on an Typical voltage. Then you could wire the bec in a typical fashion.

You can go a couple of ways here. If you run 5vdc fans you can plug them into your receiver. If you run 12vdc fans you can put a male plug on them that will mate to your 3s battery balance plug. I myself, would consider getting two 50 X 50mm 5vdc fans and use your receiver. These fans can be had on Amazon for a couple of bucks each. That's where I got mine, and they should fit nicely with the cool frame you made.

Well my esc ain't bad it's the motor. I tossed my Traxxas motor on and it works fine. It's weird but something in the motor is messed up I can spin it by hand but the magnetic current is messing up.

Your truck looks good, I'm waiting till next week to upgrade mine with new motor and gears. How's the belt drive compared to traditional gears

Maybe I’m just special, but I love my loud metal gears, trying to set the mesh of a belt drive was terrible, then worrying about heat, stretching, it was a cool venture for me, but ended up not being my best option

Thx ) if your going belt drive, 3M looks ridiculous vs 5M, it’s awesome! I’m not going back to gears, the belt sound

I only did a few speed runs, no heat issue.. 68,3mph ) FB Donovan West test coming...

Search 5M POWGE, they have pulleys and belt, Aliexpress... I was recommended this brand, under 25 usd included shipping

You should figure out what you need, calculate or ask companies what’s best for your motor kv to order right pulleys and belt. 15mm wide,,,

i revived my leopard 5892 1340kv. the extension wires that come with the max 5 was the culprit. i do plan on rebuilding my xmaxx anyway so new motor and esc regardless. but its nice to have a backup

Cool brace but It won’t help you much

stock body is a joke vs armor body, I never use stock again.. better invest in ex Proline brute armor, it’s awesome!
