What did you do with your X-Maxx today?

Just tried out 8s on Max5 w/stock motor 23/46 gearing what a difference from 6s,,,truck is crazy fast,I'm running smc 5200mah 70c after maybe less than 10min esc started flashing red,can't be motor temp cuz temp was 157* could it be my battery?

Did you check if your esc fan is working? Mine had a busted blade.

Most likely the batts, I´m struggling with 18/54. Gear down a bit and you will most likely be good to go. Was it flashing fast or slow red? Slow red is lipo cut off. I´d say you are pushing things with that gearing on 8s and the stock motor since it has so high kv, drawing huge amps.

It was my battery when it cooled down I check each cell was 3.95 3.96 3.95 3.96
I guess I'll go back to 18/50 til I get a higher mah lipos.

Lost it off hill leading toward river in back yard. bout 35 yards to river an cartwheel 20 of them at 25 mph after nose dipped an and over end. No damage done,WOW,had time to pray,wish an judge stopping distance during this. AWESOME MAN, can't wait till they make it even bigger hey

Because either my 6s 5000mah 25c & 8s 5200mah 70c lipos doesn't give me much run times with those gearings,so I'll go back to 18/50 for now,while I don't have a better lipos yet.

My new fan/ESC mount/chassis brace. I just wanted a better way to mount the fans and stiffen the chassis. Will powder coat one and hand polish the other.

Wow, that's a pretty great idea! Creative way to stiffen the chassis, mount cooling fans, and to have plenty of room to mount things. Not bad.

I can get the Mastercam file and give it to whoever wants it. Then you can bring it to a machine shop to have it made. I tried to have Dan from Kershaw make it but he never replied so I had my guys do it.

I believe they use 1/8 which is thick so we could tap screw threads for the fans. I didn't want to have a nut underneath because it will come too close to the motor and I didn't want to reverse the screw so the nut is on top cause that's ugly. I think I used 13mm screws so it's flush with the bracket. Plus I wanted an easy way to replace the fans without taking off the bracket.

I had the same problem but I didn't want to use tape and have it fall off. I think I used an M3 screw with a little pressure to start. I've had about 12 runs and so far it is holding up like a champ.

Thanks to all for the +ve press on mine.

Answer to a question asked earlier - MOST of the blue aluminium can be had in red - bellcrank brace is the exception I think - the rest is available by GPM, doing adjustable steering tie rods as well now!

I used D-Hawk, HR and Area for mine - sorry for the name dropping!!

Well after almost a month without running the Xmaxx,well today i turned it on trx then esc(Max5),esc blinks 3x for 3s then blink red fast no throttle response at all so I guess I'll have to reset esc to default mode and sync trx again

Well went ahead ran the truck a few min truck did a cartwheel and esc started flashing red fast,,but I think I know what's the problem I think my v/temp sensor is failing
