Thinking about cutting up my Green Xmaxx body into little pieces. Oh yeah it's still brand new, it's never touched dirt.

I suppose it's what 'floats your boat' mate.
It's your RC - do what you want with it.

I've done one before (red one ☝️) I'm just been getting a lot of "no don't do it" on the Green Xmaxx.

Didn't want to sound harsh, but at the end of the day, it's your body, your decision.
Personally, I would NOT cut it up - I like the standard look, and the new green body has a little 'something' - just new and a bit original for now.
If you see an advantage to cutting up, then do it.

    Not helping, I know!!

    Finished mounting up my max6.

Tapped the 4 holes on the bottom

Put screws in and dap of grease on tips say the esc down to mark the holes and drilled them

Put double sided tape that comes with it on and dropped it in chassis and lined up the holes and put bolts and washers threw

And done . I picked up the whole truck by the esc.

What did you do with your X-Maxx today?

Idk I think either the spur gear/pinion gear is sheared off or the differential is gone lol

UPDATE: yup it's the spur gear lol

Had a 'free day' - family had gone out and no over-inquisitive post-toddler to keep an eye on, so FINALLY got around to fitting the beading I like to fit on the edge of larger-scale bodies to the X-Maxx body.
As there are a lot of sharp corners, not smooth curves, I decided to trim and use multiple pieces - less ideal but the final finish isn't bad.
My process is to place firmly onto the body the 'slotted tubing', then feed fine CA glue along the inner edge and 'work in' a little - seems to have worked.

I guess "tapped" was the wrong word to use. I ran the screws I was going to use into the holes they tapped the whole. But I believe the thread is m3 I used 6mm long bolts. I jumped it atleast 10ft in the air a few times today on my new ramp on top of 3 miles of hiking and the esc is still solid in the chassis.

Before you tap or thread the holes the pins that you use for the motor mounts fit perfectly in the holes on the max6 I had extras so I put them in, Than i put some grease on the tips than layed the esc down where I wanted it to mark where to drill.

Fit two 8Ah 6S packs for 16,000 mAh! I swear the truck handles better for me with this extra weight.

Installed rpm rear hubs with oversized bearings. I was amazed how much bigger the bearings where on the inside.
    Also installed motor mount plates.

The RPM hubs are ace. Although I had to put shims in between the Arms and hubs as there was play.

I gave it a break. Recently picked up a Losi DBXL so my time is taken up fixing it back up to new. Also trying to make it faster. My Xmaxx with the 2028 will be getting some time soon as it's very hard to manage with all that power from castle.

Waterproofed the batteries, watched some video's.. decided a strip of e-tape in the middle and scotchkote was the best option for me.
Also did the bottom of the batteries...
Not sure I like how they ride in the Xmaxx tho .. I have the 6700 4s, and stock setup came with a cushion on one side.. I think there maybe some foam in the front of the battery, as one seems a little crushed now.. Probably going to do something about that.
Body wise, wish I knew about the screws popping through before I bought this.. last weekend.. already had to install 2 washers.. will do all when I get a chance... or just install them as I go.. as the body is getting pretty torn up.. driving at a local BMX track.

Looking for some advice on "meshing" the center column for the truck, covering the ESC and Motor area, starting front to back and from the side of the battery cage where it's open.
I thought of just gluing some window mesh and cutting out small holes where needed... just dont like all the tiny rocks and dust I've been blowing out of the fans during cleanup .. not to mention the grass that gets in there... somewhat resembles kindling..
Also, looking for a good tire to put on the wheelie bar, thinking of shaving down a razor wheel or something like that if I can find the right size to match.
anyways, back the BBQ waiting for the heat to die down before I let the dog chase it around the park again... works good for that.. poor guy cant last the whole battery charge .... yet...
