Can you use a 5000mah 3s lipo and a 8400mah 3s lipo at the same time? One of each? There both Traxxas lipos to. Just one of my 8400 and one 5000 puffed on me so now I'm stuck with one of each. I'm buying new lipos next week but I want to play with the xmaxx lol.

Nope. Never use lipos of different mah, C rating, and brand. If both lipos are the same and have the same number of cycles that is okay, otherwise donít do it!!

They may be 3s and 25c but they do not produce the same max amp rating. Also, since the mah is the gas tank you'll drain one completely before the larger one empties and over-discharging is a big NO NO.

Glad you are not still running a 300-900 dollar cell phone in your RC anymore. I cannot bleieve people do that....
CAP packs help some mostly to protect the ESC. Speed really comes from the ESC, battery setup, motor, and gearing.

had a shock cap break where the hallow ball is captured. there is enough of the remaining loop left to hold the shock in place so fimirly I forgot it was broke 3 times. lol. once I remembered I started taking it easy, it only pulled out on hard tumbles.

    finally swapped it out.

out bashing the xmaxx, udr, and prerunner today.

    was a good day.

Well I'm stumped, was just driving my xmaxx around and now it won't move forward or backwards. It powers on like normal and such. But as soon as I give it throttle the motor quickly shutters or just rattle the gears. It has a hobbywing max 8 esc and a leopard 5892 motor. Batteries are brand new smc 3s 7200mah 90c

Probably should give the manufacturers of the motor and esc a call and see what they can do about it.

Max 8 is too small (in my opinion) at least a max 6 if not 5 make sure all 3 wires from the motor are plugged in to the esc

Itís not just your opinion. Thatís an 8th scale esc. Way too small for an X-Maxx

Running a Max 8 ESC and a Leopard 5892 motor with an Xmaxx you probably blew the ESC. To be sure, just swop your 5892 motor to another 6s or 8s vehicle. When you do be easy. All you need to see is if the rotor on the motor (hey, I'm a poet) shakes or rotates. Shakes...bad motor. Rotates...bad ESC.

To answer myself. I bought Louise Xcyclone wheels for my 8S Xmaxx and got rid of all balooning! They look good also but since I can't upload photos to the forum I have nothing to show One thing tho is that before I used to be able to ride on top of loose snow but now it just sets in and get stuck. Could be that the snow got a bit wet today but I think the balooning might have made it possible to drive around in the snow before

Once again I had to order parts... RPM rear bearing and a pair of Louise RC wheels. I also put a tire in the oven (150įC) to unmount the tire from the wheel (traxxas Xmaxx original). It worked well.
