Anyone willing to donate their chassis to Outerwears?

I inquired about an Outerwear cover for the Xmaxx, here's the email I received from them:

"Thank you for your recent email. We do have plans to build a zipper shroud for the X-Maxx, we are currently trying to get a chassis in house to build some prototypes. We had guy willing to send us his chassis but he ran into some issues with his vehicle. Are you by chance in the US and would you be willing to let us borrow your chassis (roughly 3 weeks) to build a shroud from. We of course would pay for the shipping to and from and you would get the Outerwears for free as well. If you are interested in that please let me know and I can supply some more details. Thanks"

So is there anyone willing to donate their chassis. I've only had a couple of hours of run time on mine due to broken parts so i'm not willing yet. lol. You get a free outerwear for donating.

I got a similar email from them yesterday after I recently inquired about an Outwear cover for the X-MAXX.

I would, but I don't even have mine yet (still waiting on pre-order list Since Nov. 2nd).

While I realize these covers are made with breathable fabric, I would still be concerned that it would hold in excess heat and prevent the necessary airflow. Especially on a truck like this. Can anyone chime in who has experience with these types of covers? I like the idea of them, just not at the cost of performance.

Uhm, the problem with just that chasis, it doesn't account for front shock or body towers, which absolutely needed to be accounted for on this beast. If nobody else will send theirs, I would be happy to send mine. Was without mine for 3 weeks already, what is another 3 weeks? Plus I get a free chasis cover out of the deal

I just heard from them and they are still waiting on a chassis... I replied back saying, you are better off buying the components.

Sounds like DustyMotors is just about ready to release theirs (and yes, they will ship to the US).

Yeah, they definitely could have bought a chassis and recouped by now.

Mind boggling for so many reasons that a company would not make this investment.

    Thumbs up

Is anyone willing to invest their money into a company that doesn't want to spend a little money to get a chassis in order to create a product that would make their company more money?!?!

I find that a little concerning. I would expect them to simply purchase a chassis for themselves! Maybe I'm expecting a bit much.
