    X-Maxx Roll Cage

    Qingleng Roll Cage

Designed in China. Laser printed and handcrafted by a Chinese craftsman.

They also have roll cages for slash, revo, summit and hpi products. Don't see anywhere in stock here in US.

That looks awesome, and may be easier on the Body when using self-righting. And for bashing of course.

Looks like it screws onto the front and can rotate around front bumper to come off. Screws to remove on back to get it off?

This may protect the body, but does not look like it will strengthen the chassis.
Looks ok to me, but might look better with a brighter paint job.

Be cool if you could put some leds in the holes and if it had mounting options.

Nice find. The bumper mount will be an issue if you have light bar mounted in the bumper.. Hmmn

I don't care I don't use it. I'm teaching my daughter to go flip it she loves daddy's vroom vroom... lol and I have learned my lesson on self righting my stampede by breaking numerous cv's being lazy... just easier and cheaper to do it or have her do it if she out playing with me...

It's kinda cool looking but the purpose of an exo-cage is to protect the vehicle and this does nothing for the sides and probably won't survive a good hit due to its high quality Chinese craftsman making pennies everyday

Maybe it's carved out of steel

Edit: never mind, laser print it is. Sounds fancy

This is a patented product in China. The name is "Qingleng". This roll cage is very famous in Chinese RC circle. They use "taobao" just like "ebay. "I don't think we can buy it in US. I also want one of this.

This product is very famous in China. I have not had a chance to use it. Maybe the word China makes you think of bad quality products. However, as the designer stated in his patent document, The material is imported from US.

I found a video of test of this cage.

    Not bad though.

I had Chrome translate it and the roll cage using imported nylon is $80 I tried to add it to my cart to see how much shipping was but they wanted me to create an account first.

I would like to see traxxas or someone produce a well detailed roll cage resembling those on the large scale Losi's or the twin hammers but retains the lever for easy removal. Now that would be cool..

You should take a look at the post that shows you what I did with truck bed liner, and a little bit of simple sheet metal work. Of course you have to do it to a virgin body, but it has worked well for me.

Barely broken in :-). On my next new body i an going with bedliner, or similar product. And then some aluminium angle profile on the rear part where it rubs when tumbling over. And alu flatbar over the roof.

I didn't make it just modified it a bit to make it work with the stock body mounts, so it can still quick disconnect for switching back to the other bodies.
It's a team chase cage for the baja t5.

Ahh, okay! Very ingenious! Do you think you'd be able to bash it hard or would the rear mount not hold up? I'm really digging the look.

The cage is tough and made in the USA so I am not worried about that. The weak link is the front stock traxxas mount but I can carry the truck around by the cage. this is not a very good video but as soon as I try to film and drive my driving gose down the drain lol

Lol, it was cool to watch it crawl up that metal piece. Filming and driving is an art I haven't mastered myself lol.
