    XMaxx Body Shroud!

I have been looking around on the net for a body shroud for the XMaxx and I was curious has any of the folks that have an XMaxx thought about or have a shroud for their truck! I Have the Shock socks coming and I'd like to have the shroud to keep the dirt and crap out of the inside of the truck! I've looked around but have not found one yet! Do they make one? Thanks folks!

It protects the electronics under the shell so you dont have to clean out dirt and debris every time you take it out and bash! I'm kind of a neat freak! I know they have them for other trucks! Look it up! Kinda looking to protect my investment as best as I can it's a longevity thing!

There is a thread around here stating that an rc company is willing to make a shroud if someone is willing to ship them their X-Maxx.

    EDIT: found the thread

lol yea I wasn't telling you to send yours. Just showing you that a company was in the works of creating a shroud for the X-Maxx. Don't know if they are in production now though. You may want to check that company's website.

I contacted Outerwears and they are still waiting for someone to send them their truck that they need for 3 weeks! I also contacted Dusty Motors and they said they are just about done with the body shroud for the XMAXX and from what I have seen on other trucks and cars Dusty Motors looks like it fits better!

We can get a discount from Dusty Motors if we can organize a group buy?

Scarred to death to start up a thread here. Already have an infraction for bypassing language filter, lol.

    Been talking to mod ks...

I believe they gave up on this. DustyMotors wanted a lump sum from one person and it wasn't worth the hassle to do. Use the code 'youtube' to save 5%.

He didn't sound like he believed we could get 5 people committed let alone the fact we prolly could have done 30.

How do these work in practice? The Xmaxx has had a few issues with over heating.

Do these dusty motors covers still allow airflow?
Ihave the castle dual fan installed to help but I am a little concerned these covers will add to heat retention.

Great idea as debris and dust gets in all the little spaces in the chassis but I am concerned by the heat issues.

Instructions come with it for installation, or will it be pretty straight forward?

Mine is probably on a container ship in the atlantic somewhere. I like how they did velcro so it can be removed if dirt/mud arent on the agenda that day otherwise it can be quickly put back on,

I have a HobbyWing Max5 esc in my XMaxx along with the Kershaw ESC plate mount which makes the ESC sit higher. Will this cover still work? Cover appears to sit snug and flat against the stock electronics so I have my doubts it will work for those of us that have the ESC mounted higher.

Installed :-). Have not tried these before, it is was it is, not a fantastic feeling of quality though. The velcro is not the best adhsive I have seen, and when i wears out I will put on som 3M stuff. Price is reasonable and I am happy :-)
