    Question Traxxas stampede upgrades

Hey. I just got a traxxas 5000 mah 3s lipo. I'm breaking driveshaft components and stripped a hex on the wheel. What kind of driveshafts should I get? What should I buy so the wheels don't strip any more? Or a mod so it doesnt strip.

stampede 4x4 rear axles work quight well part# 6852x ( I think) its essentially the same shaft just beefier for the 4x4. and with the hex hubs I would recommend strc they are a pretty good brand. and traxxas of course but I'm not sure if they have hex hubs thought.

also beyond that take a look at a rpm slash front bumper. the bumper is worth the money since it saves the front end from the impact. and aluminum casters block are a must too

I have a 4x4 stampede so I'd think it comes with the beefed driveshafts?

Your in the 2wd Stampede section.
    But to answer your question.

    Recommend Tekno for 2-3S Batteries

    MIP for 4S+Batteries

If you have a lot of issue with stripped hex, you could go to a 17MM hex setup.

Proline f-11 wheels are 2.8" (like stock) and use 17mm hex, you will need to get 17mm adapters for this as well.

I have the cheap mip C-CVD's, so far so good. My understanding of the x dutys is that they were designed for guys running extreme setups like 4s lipos with brushless motors or over sized tires, if you have the need or want the piece of mind then go all the way!!
