Well after putting three packs thru the truck I have to say that I like the new bellcranks. For some reason I had to turn down the steering as I had too much turning capabilities. Right front was clicking at full turn.

I am wondering if STRC did change something in the geometry ????

And no breakages..... He he.

Looks good. How close do the bell cranks blue match to the traxxas blue?

They are a little bit lighter blue than the Traxxas parts, but it matches my STRC motor mount just fine.

Well, not really an update... just showing what a little soap and water and a scotch pad can do.

I got it pretty dirty and scratched so I thought I would try to clean it up a bit.

I took a small tumble the other day while running at my apt's and did this to one of them.


While trying to remove it I totally messed up the carrier. So to you all, keep using the screw type hinge pins or get a better set of hinge pin's. Now I have to order another set. Boooooo.

Wow, that's a pretty good bend there! I replaced all mine with Lunsford Titanium and so far, so good. They fit nice and tight and got rid of some play as well. Not too bad for about $20.

Well over the weekend I changed out the front hub carriers and properly shimmed them. The only part that was still original on my truck. They has almost no slop. Very happy

I also experimented with the center diff w/100k, drove about half a pack and I didn't like it so I rebuilt the revo slipper with some new stock pads. Drove the last half a pack and I thought I need to try something else. So I changed the rear diff to 7K from 10K and went with the silver sway bars. Nope that was not it so I went to 15K in the diff and back to the black swaybars.

Then the front started to push a bit so I lowered the front ride height a touch and moved the swaybar links longer(more sway)... and there it is.

So to add this all up at this time I am at..

Front - 20K diff, Blue Traxxas springs and 42.5wt in the shocks with 3mm. on the black swaybar.
Rear - 15K diff, Pink Traxxas springs and 35wt in the shocks with 0mm. on the black swaybar.

I find it weird that I had to change so much to get it handling like I like it.

I had to do it... I got the Traxxas S1 compound tires. I have to say I like them!!

I geared up a little to 19/52 and with full sized tires it was flying. But it didn't like the speedbumps, first wheelie and snapped an axle. The S1 compound does have more traction than the normal tires.

Yeah I did, I tightened the slipper with the old tires. Then I thought I would try the new ones out and forgot to loosen the slipper. I didn't expect to have that much more traction. Could also be the new SMC pack too.

I know you don't want MIP X-Duty axles... what about Tekno M6s?

A little update.... Since last time I have changed quite a bit on the truck.

Front 42.5wt oil with the 1.5 pistons and blue Traxxas springs. 10K in the diff. 1.5 degree camber. Sway bar at 7mm.
Rear 35wt oil with the 1.6 pistons and pink Traxxas springs. 5K in the diff. 1 degree camber. Swaybar at 1mm.
Center diff, I have been up and down with wt's and found that 30K work's pretty good.

I have been running on my parking lot with speed bumps and a very fun drop-off that induces great wheelies coming back up it. I am still running the normal compound Traxxas tires.

My gearing is at 18/54 on 2s right now, I am liking it with the warmer weather we have been having.

Going to do ttak. That doesn't fix all the images. No way to do that. On another note my last post with my settings is still working great. I hope others will try to experiment with the settings I have posted. Of course with out the pics.

Hey Jimbo, why yes I did. I threw the Revo slipper back in and swapped the 54t to the 52t and a 18t pinion.
Drove great. I had to adjust the slipper a little, but that was all. How about you, did you dust off your truck?

Wow, just ran the truck. I took razors and yellow's advise. Dropped all 4 shock oils by 5wt. So that has the truck at 35wt. Front w/1.5 pistons and 27.5wt. w/1.6pistons in the rear shocks. I have 10k front diff and 5k rear.
Had a lot of traction and snapped a axle with a tighter slipper than I like. I thought about why, should I adjust the slipper. Adjusted it and traction rolled a couple of times.
So after changing ride height and swapping to the center diff @30k. plus putting on my Traxxas S1's the truck drove great. I was surprised at the traction and handling.
Sometimes looking at a different set-up help's a lot. I really enjoyed how the truck handled.

Just ran a whole pack with the new setup. Everything is working great. I had older people watching it. They were amazed and so was I. Wheelies all over and it's jumping great over the speed bumps. I kinda abused it and it took it. Got alot of compliments. WOW!!!!.
