SPC and SMC batteries

What is everyone opinion on spc and smc batteries for the slash 4x4. I am looking for a new 2s and 3s battery. Any recommendations for battery tyles in spc and or smc?

By reputation, you can't go wrong with either SPC or SMC.
That said, all my LiPos are SPC.

A good rule of thumb is to get a quality battery of at least 5,000 mAh and 40C. SMC & SPC are both great, but like Squeegie, I run only SPC and have no complaints.

SPC and SMC appear to have very similar cells.

I have always loved my SPCs out of all the lipos I own the most.

For the slash 4x4 I would get a higher c rating at least 40c I just got a SPC 2s 5200 mah 70c battery and absolutely love it! Will never buy anything other then SPC

I have a SMC 3s/5000mah/50c pack that works very well. With that said I wouldn't hesitate to buy a SPC pack either.

I have been a loyal SPC user for years and will use nothing else. Great batteries.

I run them both. And both make great packs! I basically see who has the best deal at the time on the pack that I need and that's what I use.

I have SPC's in every thing I run. I like them because they work good, good price, and offer traxxas connectors on just about everything they sell.

What motor/ESC combo are you running? From what I hear 3S is a little much for the stock system. I had the MM2 ESC and CC 2400kv on 3S and loved it.

Last year I did a little testing on some lipos. Nothing scientific, just what the average person can expect from three different lipos. I still want to thank Squeegie for the use of his lipo. You cannot go wrong with either lipo! They have excellent performance and longevity. Find the one you like and go for it

That reminds me... you still have my LiPo.
It been over 11 months (April1) since I sent it to you.
When can I expect it back? Is it still in good condition?

I've got two of them, I run them in my truck, and a pair in my Spartan. It's amazing the difference between this and the Reaction 3s 30C 5000 mah I bought before I found the forum. I'm running a 2700kv and MMP. It's just brutal. If I'm driving around and bashing the usual, I have to have the torque control in the 6.2 range to prevent wheeling at 45+ on pavement. I broke one of connectors on the 2s 40c 5000 mah that my son runs in his Slash 4x4 VXL. I politely asked them to send me a connector when I bought the 3s batteries. I didn't specify, but they put a Traxxas connector in the package. The service has me sold.

I let my brother run mine in his spartan the other weekend, and while his Venom that was 33 days old crapped out on him, Venom did step up and replace it. The 3s 6500 mah is sold out he's been checking almost daily since he tried them out.

I used to use Tom and SPC way back when GP 3300's were the Kat Daddy (haha). They have always had top notch service. Ahhh, those GP3300s still hold a special place in my heart!

Any LiPo will be fine sitting charged overnight. SPC has specific and comprehensive battery instructions.
