Thanks! I tried the Banditos last night. Man, the ride was smooth. No ballooning on 3s without taping either.

I just tried my Trenchers on Split Six rims for the first time on 3s. The rear tires balloon pretty bad to the point that the inner parts of the tires came up over the foam inserts. I guess I'm gonna have to try taping them. If that doesn't work, I'll have to glue them. :/ Has anyone else had this problem?

They're the proline split six beadlock rims. They don't need any glue, right? The backs of them slid over from ballooning. The fronts where the beadlock rings are stayed on.

I taped them and the insides still come undone even though they didn't balloon as much. I guess I have to glue them now. What a waste of 40 dollars.

I haven't ran proline's beadlock wheels but I have ran maximizer beadlock wheels. When I had them slip off I put glue in 4 spots on each wheel on both sides to help them from popping off.

A bunch of people on here and Facebook said they ran the split six rims on 3s with no problems before I bought them. I'm not sure how. The rims are complete garbage, and I'm upset my money's wasted. I feel like I was tricked by proline.

No, proline is actually honest about it... although I do agree they suck

there are lots of people on the internet and facebook, that are jsut mindless fanboy's and have no idea what they are talking about... there are people like that here too

the problem is, they can't hold the bead... they really need to be glued....

Great...I have a set of these on the way as well. I had read a few forums where people where having success with them. I wonder if the STRC aluminium beadlock ring helps. I cant image it would do anything different though. I'll post if I have similar results sometime next week.

I'm running the split sixes with trenchers and thus far have had 0 problems with them. I've even upgraded to a Mamba Monster X 2200kv. Just ran them on 4s last week without issue. Prior to the MMX I've been running them on 3s without a drop of glue.

The outsides where the beadlock rings stayed on fine. It's the insides that I had the problem. The tires were coming over the edge of the rim. There's a lip that's supposed to hold the tires in place, but it didn't work on mine. The split six rims seem to work for some people, but not for me

Same here.On my old Slash 4x I ran the CC SCT 3800 setup on 3s with the Split Six beadlocks and STRC rings.Even though that motor is no speed demon by any means but zero problems with Prolines wheels on 3s.

Maybe it depends on which kind of tires you run.

I ended up being wrong about the rims. I watched a couple videos on how to set up split six rims with tires, and it turns out I was installing them wrong. I ran them on a 3s pack and they held up fine. Hopefully they'll keep holding the tires well.

Glad you figured it out. I am also running the split 6 wheels and trenchers. Also running running 3s and haven't had issues yet. However I will probably take them apart and tape them as they do balloon more than I like.

They ballooned pretty bad before I taped them. After taping them, they stay pretty level.

Something doesn't sound right, I've put my split six bead locks up to 82 mph and they stayed put.
The best part is they weren't even pro line tires, I was running banditos, I half expected them to come off.

They work perfectly now. I made a mistake and was setting them up improperly at first.
