T/E MAXX Boby on Slash 4x4

I was wondering if the T/E Maxx bodies would fit on the Slash 4x4. Im working on making my sons Slash into a Monster Truck, Already have the Proline Trenchers but wanted to know before i pull the trigger on the body. Any input would be great. And if any of you have pics that would be awesome. Peace out.

The tmaxx body I think comes with a hole in the bed for the nitro engine.

It should say on the site if it's pre-cut or not. If it doesn't say it's probably not.

I just looked, the 3430-00 isn't pre-cut. I think it's the same body, all the newer chevy's look the same to me when they are clear lexan.

I was talking about the Traxxas body for the tmaxx not a proline one.

So it looks like the only downside is the wheel wells will not line up perfectly, Which IMO isnt a big deal. correct?

    That's correct.
I had to take the nerf bars off also.
A positive is that there is plenty of clearance for everything at full compression.

The emaxx body fits just fine on my son's. And that's using stock slash body mounts.

Are the body mounts on a Slash 4X4 the same as 2WD? I just bought a Slash 2WD and found an El Camino body that says it fits a T-MAXX and I would like to use it.

I've done a few Slash MT articles outlining which size bodies work and what to look for. Bodies for the E-Maxx 3905, T-Maxx 3.3, Revo 3.3 and even some E-Revo and Summit bodies will work with some trimming. I prefer the E-Maxx 3905 sized bodies myself; they are a near direct fit. If you use a body for the E-Maxx 3906 or the original T-Maxx (.15 or 2.5) they will be a little too short. Here are a few links to the articles (one is a 4x4 and the other 2 are 2wd's but the bodies fit either) I've done that may help:

    http://1i-rc.com/how-to-slash-2wd-mt-conversion/

    Insert witty retort here...
