Question Any essential upgrades for rally?

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for really important upgrades for traxxas rally.

You will want an aluminum bearing adapter for sure. Other than that not really. Unless you want to start on durability upgrades like aluminum steering blocks and axle carriers.
This will TOTALLY work, saw a guy on YouTube do it

I just picked one up from the LHS. Good thing i did that, i guess the bearing in the motor mount seized up. No more runs in the rain for me...

Speaking of motor mounts, which one should i get? Theres a huge debate in the rally forums about KHZ vs HR or whatever other companies make them. I was thinking strc? From what i seen, its a really important upgrade

I still run stock plastic ones in the three that I have. I do have the hr mount but it's sitting in parts bin. I haven't really seen a change in temps. 2 trucks runs in 120-130 temp range my third one will run 150 temp wise
I do have the the aluminum bearing adaptors on all 3 though

The big bores already have aluminum caps even the body is made of aluminum. I personally would of just bought tin shafts and aluminum shock caps for the stock ones if I didn't want to spend the money. Since the big bores really ain't much of an upgrade imo

Both my Sl4sh and P4de have a Castle 2650kv motor powering them. For ESCs, the P4de has the MM2 and the Sl4sh has the Sidewinder 8th. Either is great. Both trucks run surprisingly really well on 2S. 3S is almost too f-f-fast and 4S is stupid, crazy, insane.

Really depends on what works for you. I don't run concrete and jump but that sounds quite dangerous and cool!
