Yup.. it's simple. I did not take any pictures when I did mine.
As most mods, once you have the parts in hand, you can easily figure out what needs to be done.

    Good luck and have fun!

No problem, I took pics just for you since I have my mount off at the moment. Installing a new fan on my esc which is gonna require some modding to the esc fan mount. I'm afraid I'll no longer have the X symbol on my esc fan mount

Thank you. The x looks sweet on the esc. I'll be buying a fan but for the motor!

No problem, the X does look sweet, but for the fan I'm installing it's worth sacrificing the X. I have the castle blower shroud and modified it to fit a wild turbo fan. Only reason I'm running a motor fan is because I have a chassis shroud.

The one I'm replacing it with blows a lot more air than the stock one and can take up to 8.4v. I will be getting a castle bec soon and will run both esc and motor fans at 8.4v. Plus, over the weekend I broke one of the blades on the stock one, my new one just arrived today. Here's my castle blower shroud with a wild turbo fan replacement.

That is crazy quiet compared to my novak motor and Losi esc setup. How does that castle fan work? Is it effective?

Video doesn't do it justice, it's a lot louder in person. I didn't like the castle fan didn't really blow very good for me. I just finished hooking up the new fan on my esc. Their both on 6v right, but once I get my castle external bec I will turn it up to either 7v or 8.4.

My novak sounds like a 5cc lawnmower. Lol. How does one turn up the voltage the fan gets?

Using your bec on your esc, running a seperate battery for your fan, or running a external bec like I will be using in a couple weeks. Using your bec on your esc you have to make sure your rx can handle whatever voltage you set it at. Traxxas is 6v so I have my bec set at 6v, if I turned it up past that it would fry my rx. Which is why I want to use a external bec for my fans. I don't wana run a seperate battery since my slash is heavy enough already lol.

Na it's not that bad, ive only been in this hobby a few months and I knew nothing when I started. This forum helped me so much in learning how to do mods, upgrades, etc. It's a learning curve for sure lol.

I started in August, my slash was originally a general lee stampede. I just recently done the slash conversion and I'm waiting on my new K10 body to get finished painting in my colors and I'll have the general again. Very helpful members on here, don't know what I'd do without them.

Here it is gut less. It looks like the esc mount is custom for the Losi mscmxpro? Or maybe is a oem?

Heyy look at that. Didn't have a clue. Should I take apart the rear so I can put the motor in with the pinion or I'm I fine to just shove it in and hope it's aligned. The size difference is noticeable to the novak.

I haven't installed one on the lcg chassis, I'm not sure if it requires dremel work or not. Just have to test fit it and see if it's hitting the chassis or not.

So the pinions will hold weight of the motor? It definitely hits the chasis, actually the while things rests on the chasis. Haha. Forgot the motor needs to be level. Is the supplied pinion okay to use.

It should bolt right in. Just check under the motor. If you can't slide a thin piece of paper between the motor and chassis, just Dremel off a little of the chassis till it clears. I had to Dremel off a little when putting in my 2200. Not sure if you have to with your 2650.

    Good luck!

Edit: Oops! Forgot you got the 2200.

Align it with the spur gear when you have mounted the motor.

No. Did you take the cover off your gears (it's the big plastic part that is held in my just one screw)? You can see the gears once it's off.
Just put the motor in and tighten the pinion when aligned to the spur gear.
    After that, set your mesh.

You need to rotate your pinion, the grub screw tightens down on that slot on motor shaft.

It shouldn't be touching the chassis, if it's touching mark the spot and dremele it down some.
