    Question Biggest wheels for X-Maxx?

Do anyone here know which wheels/tires are the biggest wheels/tires that can be used with the X-Maxx?

    Thanks.

I think right now the x-maxx has the biggest wheels/tires you can get.

There's a foam tires that is just tad bigger than stock tires for Xmaxx

Also I think the tires from KD is a bit taller but narrower.

The imex j-7 are close if not a tad bigger.
The redcat rampage mt tire is bigger but would require a differnet hex from the max or baja.

Haven't looked at it yet, but losi has a 1/5 monster truck with matching tires coming soon. They might be worth a look too.

With larger or heavier tires, come more breakages though.

I just picked up the spacers and went with Baja Trenchers. They are a bit smaller but a far superior tire material wise. I think the size and design of the X-maxx tires are awesome but mine kept ripping after a few runs on a stock setup.

Both my back tires ripped in the middle, glued them now but i dont think its gonna hold.
Would be nice with something more durable and speed friendly.

Get some adapters and any - and I mean any - 1/5 tire and it will be more durable and handle more speed.

I'm not positive but I think the redcat tires are shorter.

I don't think I can link the spacers some people did it in the past and the mods locked the thread. There are spacers for sale on eBay you can search them they come up pretty easy. I then used the Baja 5T back rims and the matching trenchers for both front and back. I got some nice foam also. There are actually several threads here about them just several pages back.

I do think that the X-Maxx stock tire size and design is awesome they just need better material.

Have Traxxas released any high performance upgrade wheels parts with earlier models?

Thing is they're advertising sponsorship of an MT series - 1:1 versions of 'X' and the Skulls.
    These are MT's with normal-profile - wider - wheels / tyres.

I'm still hoping for something from Proline, but PERHAPS Traxxas will be bringing something out.

It is a compromise between cost / weight / inertia / momentum - which they have pretty close to spot on with 'look', which for an MT is not quite there.

With the adaptors the new Losi MT wheels might fit but be careful of the reinforcements as they may catch the knuckles / carriers of the 'X' hubs.

When I've queried this before, many have stated the 'X' drivetrain wouldn't be able to handle the weight of the Redcat wheels.

Kershawdesigns site has some nice tires. I bought them with my 8s Maxx. Just ordered it comes thursday. The tires are slightly bigger (8.2") than the stock tires, and are $150

    Nice find.
Closest-looking to MT wheels so far.

Still not-quite there - not wide enough, tyre not deep enough on the outside for a 'real' appearance, but good find.

    Thanks for sharing.

Can somebody supply part numbers for the Pluto rims? I see there are front and rear with different part numbers and am wondering if I need all for rears or one set each. I want to use the Swamp Dawgs instead of the J-7. Any info would be great, thanks......

Not my truck, but there are a few links in this thread.

I think the swamp Dawgs are smaller. Not positive though.

IMEX monster I believe. IMX15350. Amazon had the wheels and tires mounted but are now unavailable, along with everywhere else except imex, and they are expensive on their site.

I will know by this weekend, Hot Racing does have the metal gears upgrade for the Traxxas servo, so that may be a purchase made by the end of the weekend, I am excited for new scale size rims/tires that's for sure.
