I know the meaning of the word "offset" however, can someone (or more than one) explain "offset" as it relates to tires/wheels and the needs for offset on our trucks? I see lots of people talking about needing a certain amount of offset for a certain style/brand/size of tires/wheels. What determines the need for offset? What determines how much offset is needed in any given situation? I didn't know that buying tires/wheels for these trucks can be so involved.

Positive or negative offset will change the tread width of your truck ... in effect alter the overall CG.

Clearance issues can require more or less offset. Offset will affect stability.
This will TOTALLY work, saw a guy on YouTube do it
