I'm glad to see these springs on the market. I ordered a set in black and will be using them with 50 weight shock oil. I would like the combo to produce less wheelies and be less prone to rollovers in tight turns. I will post a review once I've had enough time to test the springs and thicker oil.

Sounds like an advertisement post lol

But I did order a black set. I've always loved VG Racing springs they offer for the 1/10 trucks.

I went to VGracing.com, and it didn't show any parts for an Xmaxx. The EBay site address worked, though.

Are these for bashing and high jumps/landings or trailing?

@blizz318 for $20 a set and considering the costs of other x-maxx upgrades I'd say these are most definitely worth it.

@jeteffect I don't kno if a spring is a specifically made for a certain condition...that would depend on your suspension setup all together. All I can say is that these are progressive tuned and are a bit stiffer than stock springs so yea they are "better" for jumps than the stockers in terms of landings. Not sure about Trailing.

The VG Springs are awesome. Stiffer and the truck seems to handle better too.
I'm running 50 weight shock oil. What weight is everybody else running with the VG Springs?

Funny - I just got done measuring Springs for my Slash, and then picked the exact size and dimensions I needed from a website "Lee Springs".

Seriously - I just got them in a couple days ago and haven't tried them out, but they seem perfect. (I needed stronger Springs for the Proline short course shocks).

I picked up a set of black VG springs a couple weeks ago. After running them a few times with 50wt oil I think they work better than stock but I'm going to try some 40wt oil because instead of soaking up heavy hits like the stock springs and 30wt oil now the truck bounces into the air. Again, I'm pleased overall and the truck seems to handle better and flip less often in turns but I'm going to try to tune it better for my terrain which is very rough.
