Anyone Use The X-Maxx For Crawling Over Rocks?

I see a lot of videos bashing on dirt and racing for speed over pavement but how about crawling, like the Summit?

I often go out with neighbour who has a few crawlers. They're slow and eventually get over rocks..... Xmaxx makes it looks like a breeze. lol

I don't think flying over the top of the your buddies Summit & any rocks in the way counts, lol.

That's got to be great to watch!! I can imagine your friend strategically maneuvering over and around each rock with grace and then X Maxx comes along and smashes over and through them..... Funny stuff!!!

With the differentials being so easy to access, having a spare set locked to swap out for crawling is a great idea. Slow and easy with the big Xmaxx, it's worth a try imo, thanks for the thread in this.......

has anyone used a locked set of diffs yet to do crawling , and probably a different esc is needed bc its hard to get the x maxx to move slow with the stock esc.

RamAireTransAm, isn't there a Training Mode which would help to start slower?

I have used the X-Maxx for doing some "crawling"-ish type driving... it was more like a small version of King of the Hammers. Drove the X-Maxx around, just goofing off, and found a circuit to do laps on with some inclines, obstacles, and drop-offs near a lake.

I tried crawling, and after about 15mins I had the truck idling for a bout a minute then the steering servo made a really loud whinning noise wouldn't turn left or right , pulled servo apart the main gear was stripped

They know that. It was posted in a Traxxas forum and it's a perfectly legit question. Xmaxx after all is the superman of all cars!

Thanks, I'm overly impressed by what this can drive over so far! My Tmaxx got stuck on everything.

With the right changes this xmaxx seems to be a wide range from bashing to crawling. I like these idea and may get t same setup to try on my xmaxx.
