This is how it started. Sorry I don't have pics for every step so bare with me.
Started taking everything apart.
Decided to upgrade a little since I have to get a new chassis. Picked up some Spider diffs.
Installed it in FLM Hybrid bulkheads.
Yeah! It fits.
Wrong! I forgot to put diff oil. Take it all apart. Repeat steps.
Yeah! It's done again so it looks like below again. So I start assembling it in the a-arms and chassis. Sorry I don't have a pic at this step.
Then I noticed my MIP driveshafts don't fit the diff cups. It's completely wrong! Take apart the arms, chassis, bulkhead, and open up the diffs to swap out the cups to the other style. The diff pics above shows the correct ones so bare with me again. Just imagine it was wrong.
After many breaks I start again. Everything is going smooth.

It's going great until this step. The center driveshafts don't want to fit. I had to take off the front end to be able to slip the driveshafts in the cups.
Woo hoo I'm done!
Wrong! Now comes the real nightmare. Since I got a Savox servo it was running a little weak. I remember reading that the receiver can handle 7.4v so I hook up a BEC to it. WRONG! Instant smoke and fried my receiver and ESC. So now I go do my research and I read it wrong. The receiver can only go up to 6v but if you use an external BEC at 7.4v you can't plug that into the receiver. You have to bypass it so I pick up this bypass cable.

Picked up a MM2 ESC with Castle 2200kv motor and hooked up the BEC correctly. Now it's done.
Well almost. My skid plate is ripped in half so I ordered FLM skid plates and shock towers. Oh I forgot to mention that I installed a HR steering assembly. You know normally I upgrade after something breaks but this is ridiculous.
Finally woke up from my nightmare. End of my story.

Nice work! This should be a solid E-Maxx, ever since I did the FLM chassis on mine it rarely breaks... but I also only drive it on 5s.
How does the spider diff work? How much is it? i just finished my lroject and it runs great im just worried about the transmission and diffs. Heres some pics

The spider diffs were expensive. About $120 for both but I think it's built tough. With this new setup it's pulling wheelie like crazy. I tried full throttle from a standstill and can do 360 flips. Only time will tell how long they last.
