Replace that with a aftermarket aluminum unit.

This is a common problem and most put a metal cooler on. mine has the rubber cooler. I put silicone grease on when i installed it and so far no leaks. Don

Lol really traxxas, they couldn't even put a decent cooling jacket on the motor? $475 boat with a $5 cooling jacket that leaks instantly, pretty disappointing.

Relax...not everyone is having issues with it. The same thing happened with the Spartan on it's first run. Buy an aftermarket one if you need to.

Oh I'm relaxed don't you worry It could've came with a little nicer water jacket for the price tag just my .02 cents. You'd think they would've learned from the spartan.

I'm thinking we're going to have to do some of the same mods we did to our Spartans to get them all spiffy. If so, a few bucks here and there won't be to bad. You figure...a dual port rudder, aluminum cooling jacket, metal prop and your in business.

    Suggestions:
Look at your posts about this boat and the Spartan.
Check the tone and the message.
Take a hint and a breath and give it a rest.

I see both points here. It's true Traxxas could have addressed the cooling issue with the boat after the Spartan proved it was inadequate. I truly expected this boat to be fixed. If if the M41 had factory cooling upgrades I would have no problem paying 5 to 6 hundred for in the box. On the other hand, I can't wait to play with mods on this boat! A lot of potential to play with and I can't wait till I can buy one and start tweaking it! I'm just happy Traxxas finally put out a new boat! Thank you Traxxas and don't wait so long to put out another one.
