Well, it started as a Telluride...

Somewhere on this forum are pictures of what my Telluride used to look like, but here's a picture to make life simple.

And then things led to this...

Started with a spare Rustler body and mounted it (straight to the shock towers). Then, in went the Velineon system. Honestly, the stock Titan and XL-5 are fun, too.
After driving it around with the stock Telluride front and rear I decided to go for a Slash 4X4 front and rear to make the track width just a little bit wider. ((This is where the modular design of the Stampede 4X4 and Slash 4X4 families comes in really handy. Just a few screws and done.))

Not sure exactly what to call it... aside from "fun". I've spelled out TelluRuSlash, but I'm curious what others might come up with. Anyway, a little time and thought and voila, something new to drive.

I'm actually turning mine into a truggy with a 1/10 scale buggy wing on the back. Pretty much the same setup you have just different body and the wing

Will do. I'll start a new thread as I wouldn't want to hijack this one.

Have a look at the NOS Deegan Rally car. It has the long LCG chassis from the Slash 4X4 for greater stability, but it uses the Telluride arms for a more scale looking Fiesta ST body.

    Hey guys,

Can anyone confirm that the Telluride is really as waterproof as it looks here? My son wants one and we have several streams around us to get things wet. Thanks.

Yes it is. My 10 year old daughter drives through every puddle no matter how deep they are. Just remember to rinse with clean water and dry it off with an air compressor.

The action depicted in that image should be no problem. If you want to go in deeper water, you need to read up on the waterproofing section of the manual. You will want to apply marine grease around the receiver box seal, especially where the wires go through. If you go deeper than that, you WILL get water in the diff carriers. If you don't get it out or leave the bearings wet, they will seize up.
