Yeah I know right! Because I like to do projects and stuff out of a platform but I use up all the ideas pretty quick when traxxas releases the same platform 5 times in a year

LoL. I'm thinking of getting another brands MT. Mainly because it comes stock with all the best hopped up parts. Yes it's a little expensive upfront, but not if you take into account that it wont need anything afterwards.

I want traxxas to make something like the vatterra twin hammers, but make a 1/10 scale and a 1/16 scale one. Also have it with the idfs and solid rear axle along with locking diffs and a 2 speed transmission

OK... this might get me kicked out of the Traxxas cool-kids-club...

I have been hording money out of my RC budget to get a new RC, was thinking about maybe a Rally, perhaps even an XO-1. I have also been kicking around the idea of doing a custom monster build... Then, I see the new SMT10... I think we have a winner. When we are talking about what we want Traxxas to make next, this is what we are talking about. As far as monsters go, the 2WD Pede is fun, the 4WD Pede is great, the E-Maxx is a blast. But, when we think monsters, we think of three things, big tires, solid axles, and tube frames.

Agreed, that new SMT10 is pretty awesome. I hope (even tho I love 'Digger) they come out with others or different colored chassis and bodies.

Agreed. The Monster Jam Pedes were the easy way out (not knocking them any, I bought 2). I preordered a SMT10 yesterday and can't wait to get my hands on it. The wheelbase is more than 3" longer than my pedes, but I'm hoping my Captain's Curse body fits pretty close.

I would LOVE to see Traxxas make a solid axle beast. Then again, solid axle rigs have been gaining traction for years now. If Traxxas hasn't hopped on the solid axle, crawler/scale train yet, I'm not to sure they'll follow the trend here either. Traxxas doesn't seem to ever follow a trend. They've completely ignored the scale scene with the exception of the funny car. I don't count the Telluride as a scale rig.

I still say, Traxxas should come out with nitro remote starter, in case the engine stall. Just my opinion. 😊

I'd love if they made a... WAIT FOR IT... 6x6. Or something. Or remote control tanks. Maybe? Or crawlers. Yeah I know they make monster trucks. But CRAWLERS! Thinking like a slash lcg but like as big as the Xmaxx. Like rock racer cool. Longer arms. 8 shocks. Basically a E-Maxx on steroids. Steel tube chassis. Stock fog lights, lights all around. And different modes. Like the diffs can be locked up in the back and front or vice versa. And like a baja body for it. Steel driveshafts. Get the idea...?

Yes, yes, yes. When I 1st started getting into the hard core RC I bought a drone. Sure there were companies that only manufacture drones but I went with Traxxas because of their reputation.

So I'm at that point now with a rock racer/crawler. I said I'd never do it, but I bought a non Traxxas rock rig.
Seeings how I have more than 1 Summit, I started to make one full time rock rig. I'll be anxious to compare.

But it would be really sweet if TRX would come out with something solid. They would probably come up with some fancy new feature & they'd be a hit like the X Maxx.

At least that's what my future telling app says.

Have anyone heard about HPI racing's 1/32 buggy and truggy? I saw several videos on Youtube. 1/32 buggy looks like fun. Why not Traxxas make 1/32 Bandit, Slash, and Revo???

isn't that the size of a hot wheels car? I think that its a "neat" idea but would get old real quick.

I agree it's small and it is harder to get speed and control out of a car that size as it weights next to nothing lol. I think a 1/16 2wd slash and rustler would be kinda cool. Rear mounted motor just like the 1/10s. The 1/16 grave digger was 2wd but based on a 4wd chassis which means its gonna handle like a 4wd without front drive shafts if you know what i'm saying.

If anyone has ever tried driving a mini slash with a blown front diff (which makes it only rwd) It is very uncontrollable.

I think I take this back. I just watched a run video of the truck. I think it looks great, (the tires do look a bit small tho) but runs and handles horrible. It's slow as ever and the turning radius looks to be huge. For $400, it's a huge waste IMHO.

I much rather have my 4x4 Stampede instead.

Honestly asking for future reference. Why was my post (which did nothing but praise Traxxas) get removed while the earlier discussion about the same vehicle remains? I thought since the discussion was allowed to go on that I'd be in the clear.

If you are referring to the photo of the Case IH autonomous concept tractor above, it should be clear that the non-Traxxas "vehicles" prohibition is only relevant to scale RCs.

Aside from the pic of the RC tractor (a must for your geek farmer), there were a couple pics of the Axial SMT-10 posted, as an example of what we'd like Traxxas to produce.

They were removed weeks ago so I'm pretty sure they weren't the reason for the quote. I'd like to hear from the inquirer himself.

A slash 2wd that comes box stock with a Traxxas LCG (your choice of black, blue or grey) with aluminum caster blocks, aluminum bearing carriers, and aluminum hub carriers with a VXL system in it. (Traxxas Slash 2WD Ultimate) I think that one would be anneasy one for Traxxas to do! And maybe a stampede 4X4 ultimate just like the slash 4x4
Last edited by SlashServices; 09-01-2016 at 05:28 PM. Reason: I said Traxxas 2WD ultimate rather than SLASH 2wd ultimate
