What is available for a Slash 4X4? Pros and cons?

To be honest with you, I have only used the stock steering servo. I have given thought to getting a really high torque servo but I have no reason to. The stock one works well and is cheap and easy to repair it if the gears strip.

I've always been happy with the Traxxas servos. You can upgrade the gears to metal ones and its strong enough to handle larger than stock size wheels.

You can do that? How? What gears do you need? I've got the stock gears on 2.8 trechers and they can be quite dogs in turning... Hard on that servo..

I'm with you conboss, I have 2.8 mashers and reckon the servo struggles. I'm about to switch to trenchers as I have 17mm wheels on the way.

Wow! I'll have to do that someday! Don't want to shred my servo apart...

Funny how the gears from that Savox servo can be used in a 2075 as that was a servo that I was considering dropping in my slash MT. The power is up at 15kg compared to 9kg of the 2075 which should be enough to move the MT tyres. I'm running a mm2/2650 combo so I will bump up the BEC to 6volts.
