    Platinum GTR - Alloy shock caps.

    Do these exist? Or do the Blue ones for the stock shafts fit?

    the gtrs have plastic caps, the stock caps do not fit

    I din't have the gtrs, but it is my understanding they don't have the popping off issue of the ultras

    The GTRs are aluminum body so they won't distort and allow the plastic cap to pop off. My Slash is heavy using the VG racing springs.Revo tuning kit and 70w oil and has never popped a cap off. Plus the GTRs have bleeder holes in the caps that make filling/bleeding a breeze!

    funny i could care less about the aluminum cap for the GTR (mine has never popped up, and ive jumped off my house's roof!) but those aluminum spring perches...now those i have broken (But there really cheap to replace) never thought about the perch; then again the Aluminum would probably get bent and create its own problem

    The hot racing caps has a hole on the top, that the blatter will be pushed into and make a tiny hole so the oil leaks. Maybe thats why they are out of production.

    I never have looked for them, but it is the first time I have seen them.....

    Half of HRs stuff is out of production, or they have products that are advertised, but never actually made it to the market

    Agreed. I've never popped a cap (or stretched a rod end) off my nitro Revo. Run stock GTR's with plastic caps.

    They do look nice, but I've never "popped a cap" either, so plastic works for me as well.

    On the allow caps...why would you need it to be vented? Kinda defeats the purpose of the bladder? JB Weld can plug the top hole, but didn't see a bleeder hole? And I agree with Dcuda69...I like that feature.

    If you are looking to bling your truck out. Sure but I have done ridiculous things to my trucks and the caps have never popped off.
