Looks perfect!!!!

Did not get some original tools when I bought my X-Maxx.
Is there a key that fits slippernuts.
Must be a long one. Think there is 7mm.

Yes it's a flat wrench style to fit in there. Someone that upgraded their lock nut May throw one in the mail for you or it might be a good opportunity for you to upgrade.

What is the upgraded you can do on the lok nut?
Must say that the car is durable. jump and run hard with it, but nothing has been broken yet. Next week I get my eight-cell lipo and then we will see how it goes. A little video of this.
Now I have tested eight cells lipo, very enjoyable.
I broken the drive shafts but do not think it was because of this, I think it was a wear that has come before. Have a large gap at the upper rear a arm, is this normal?

I don't have that gap on mine, they have minimal play.
I have the same gap on my truck, so I added a spacer on each side.
Also, since it's on-topic, I'm using oversized hardened dowel pins as drive pins. I find that I need to trim them about .5mm with a grinder to get them to the factory length though. They still break, but last about twice as long as the factory ones.
I've gone through more than 10 sets of cvd pins with the stock system..
Tne stock cvds are junk.
The problem lies with the hubs being made out of Aluminium and they flex easily so the pins has a lot of play and they got broken.
I switched to GPM #45 steel CVDs and never had a broken pin since..
Weird I was just looking at the BEC setting on my program card it says 6v/7.2v but on the manual 6v/7.4v
"AVENGED SEVENFOLD "
I have this, http://stockholm.reservdelsrc.com/pr...-xerun-multi-l
And it says 6V or 7.4V.
Drove a bit again today, about 25 min on 8 cells.Pins to driveshaft broke again and a bearing.Ordered GPM #45 steel CVDs and RPM Oversized Rear Axle Carriers.
Hope it helps.
,Im still running stock receiver and transmitter,i guess that where I screwed up,plug the servo then I programs it,when I turned on esc servo barely moved and seen receiver flash red fast, but no smoke or burning smell from max5,I reset everything and receiver is back to solid green, but as for max5 the issue I'm having is after it reads the cell count it would just flash red fast, which is needs to be calibrated with tx,and that's where my problem is,I could not get the max5 into the calibration mode,it would just keep flashing red after it reads lipo cell..
"AVENGED SEVENFOLD "
maybe it's just the built in bec is burned, try using an external bec.
Well I tried it with the external BEC but same result, when I hook up BEC to battery receiver turns solid red, when I hook it up on the fan port of esc receiver turns solid green,,do you know if the servo should function even if esc is not calibrated since esc only controls throttle/reverse/brake?could it be my receiver that is not functioning right?i tried plugging both servos and either one doesn't even move when I power it on,,but if the receiver is not working why am I able to bind it with the transmitter..

You have no other transmitter / receiver that you can test with?
The bearings breaks because of the pins are pushed against them when they break.
Also, every time you break a pin it groves and destroy the stubaxle.
You did a good choice ordering the GPM cvds.
The HR carriers are nice to have but not necessary if your pins will not break any more, I have switched to SKF bearings and all well.
Ok now I have managed to break rear differential, not so surprising perhaps.
Took everything apart and checked for other worn parts.
Found # 7784 which was well worn, I'll go to the original or any hopups? Found HotRacing but it's pretty expensive.

Some video from today.

if u decide to get the HR steel output gear and u have the spiral cut diff gears,it will not fit right in it will take some work to get the output gear and pinion fit together,,u will have to sand off the black stuff out of the pinion shaft then u need to put grease and use a bench press to have the HR output gear and spiral pinion gear together, unless u have the stock diff gears then it will fit right in..
"AVENGED SEVENFOLD "
Ok, i go for traxxas org gear. Costs barely anything so it will probably be fine.
Check all you gear bearings.
You probably will find them ruined due to some slipper dust..
well I found out the culprit,it wasn't my max5 esc,I suspected it was the receiver so I went ahead and bought a new receiver, installed it and viola it works again,,now I have my max5 working again, and I should be receiving my new Max6 and the LCD programmer,I'll just wait before I install the savox servo,I don't wanna use my programmer card cuz it only says 6v/7.2v on it don't wanna take a chance.

Good to hear![]()
Finally I got the servo working and all done and assembled, gotta wait till weekend though to try it out, gotta work on my Aton fpv..

Another question, my drive cups wear out a lot and fast.
Has run seven times and already sees a big wear.
Is that better?

I noticed the same thing with my A-arms (#45). I think they just weaken over time and start to spread. I've now got the GPM upper arms and I've had no problems at all (even with some fairly nasty crashes).

Yes now I get the car together again.
Watched front diff and although it had lost some teeth.
Have received the RPM rear hubs and think that the large bearing looks fine.
GPM drive axles front and rear, so now I'm just waiting for Traxxas Differential Pinion Spiral Cut front and rear.

Looking for exploded view for my old X-Maxx, just find the new 8-cell X-Maxx Exploded view. Where can I find it?
