strange noise

My rustler has started to make this really high pitched noise and the car moves very slow. My spur gear is fine and so is the slipper clutch. I went into the transmission and diff but founf nothing broken. What can I do to fix it.

sounds like you need to tighten the slipper nut. I run all mine snug w/1/8 turn out.

ive been running it only 1/4 turns out so its not loose at all, it still does the thing

Most likely the pin for the top gear or a stripped idler gear.

my idler gear is fine and so are the other parts of my transmission including the inside of the diff, none are stripped or cracked.

Have you checked you haven't stripped a hex?

You might also want to check what condition the slipper plate is in, it might be too shiny or the slipper clutch pads might glazed.

last time that happened to me ,,,, my wheel nut was loose and the hex pin fell out...
