1a charge rate only?

Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question but I cant figure this out. I have a ez-peak plus and im trying to charge two non-traxxas 9000 mah 3s lipo's. The balance cables are conneceted and both are balance charging but only at a rate of 1a. If I select 4a before I start the charge it just defaults back to one as it starts the charge. What is going on?

The indicator LEDs show the charge level and not the charge current after you start the charge.
