Question Ok, need some help with the conversion to 17mm. Wrench?

Hey guys, I'm planing to make the change to 17mm hubs. I'll be using Hot racing 6mm offset ones. I need a wrench. Will a socket fit them? Thanks.

a standard socket will fit, however, it is best to use a thin wall socket or a specialized RC tool.... a regular 17mm socket might be too thick

I use the stock plastic traxxas wrench with my HR adapters, I have also used a 17mm open end wrench also

I have a trx t handle 17mm plastic one that came with erbe. I also have a reg 17mm socket and ratchet in rc tool box. If those dont do the job then theres always the needle nose pliers. I have used them on several occasions due to wheel hub size limitations....

I use a 12pt 17mm socket in 3/8" drive on a ratchet. Even fits in the recess on those F-11 wheels although getting those nuts started can be a battle.

Thanks for all of your help, and for guiding me through this. But, how would the nut driver work if they are splined?

The socket end itself does not need to match the spline of the nuts, as long as it is 17mm and has a thin wall to fit within the f-11 wheels it will be ok.

A nut driver or a socket fits those fine. I run the same set.....they're awesome btw!

I stuffed a bit of paper towel in socket so it keeps wheel nut from falling to deep in socket...
