    Gunners Build.

So parts are coming in and i'm starting to make progress. Learning new things about the platform. I have found things I don't like about some of the aftermarket parts. Fit to be exact. Loose parts that feel sloppy when they are installed. I will post a video of them when it is together and then one on what I did to fix the problems. But this is where I am today.

Just ordered a full set of Acer Racing full Ceramic Bearings for it. I found 3 so far that are shot. So time to just put some good ones in. I think all the beach running has made them die. No more beach for me with the slash. I have a type A for that now.

I had to order 2 more bearings. The Ultimate has a 16x8x5 bearing supporting the diff on one side in the front and rear. They will be here tomorrow.

Do you think ceramic bearings will hold for offroad use? Other members suggested that ceramic bearings are not good for off-road use. What's your take?

So today I bought new XO-1 diff gear sets and Hot Racing diff cups. I also bought a STRC conversion chassis kit with one of their Steering Bellcrank kits all in blue anodizing. It is taking a while but it is going to be exactly the way I want it to be. You guys have any input for upgrades?

XO-1 diffs and Hot Racing cups showed up. I need to decide on the weight of the fluid for speed running.

I have used 120k with success, tried 500k traxxas in front now and honestly feels about the same as the 120k.

Heres a little update on the progress. The chassis is just plain wicked good. Everything is drilled and tapped perfectly. Everything fits. Best 90 bucks I have spent so far.

Things are coming along. I am doing a full trial assembly. I got the center diff in and working on this chassis, So I drained it and flushed it. Filled it with Gorilla Glue. It is locked tight. No Slip and smaller spurs. XO-1 diffs with Hot Racing cups. 100K fluid. 20/50 to start on the vilneon system.

    Hi Milt
I wanted something that would lock solidly and use smaller spur gears. It came with the truck and with a bit of work it's what I wanted. And it was free.

The Chassis came with a really sweet motor mount. It lets you set your lash then you can remove the motor and put it back in as much as you want without having to reset every time. Lots of bolts holding it in place.

I got pro because I didn't want the popups. But I still haven't figured out how to post a single picture. I think todays job is to conquer Tapatalk Pro.

The xmaxx motor mount wouldn't work on this, if anything a xo1 mount will but I do not think that tp power motor will have any problem fitting in that sexy little blue strc one.

I ask about the cush drive because of the play it has and it is shorter than the slash slipper shaft, does the drive shaft fit fine or will it be too short? Also from what I know the cush drive only fits a 46T or do you have smaller gears than that?
