Slash electrical system: can I use a traxxas ez start 4580 control box?

    Morning everyone,

I'm a first time RC car owner. The car ran great to begin with; I made it through 2 tanks. 3rd tank, I fill it up and go to start it....

The ez start starter and the electric motor break on me.

One of the pins on the EZ start module pushes in; it won't contact the pins on the harness. And the electric ez start motor is toast. I can fix the Starter thing, it's just wiring. The electric motor isn't working at all though.

Once I replace the electric motor, which I might call support and see if they'll send me this part; can I use the EZ start control box; part # 4580? And leave that thing plugged into the harness?

I suppose I can call support and get my answer but I'm curious what everyone else is doing.

Yes, you can attach it to the vehicle but still would need to plug a 6 cell battery to it every time you wanted to start it, or attach the battery to the vehicle also, but I do NOT recommend that!.

IMO, best thing to do is get another starter wand!
1997 White Mustang Cobra its not a RC!
