    do lighter tires make the x-maxx faster?

    Hi after seeing my fathers friends revo with proline bowties go so much faster i am wondering will they make my x-maxx faster?

    I run lighter tires to lesson the stress on the driveline, being I run 7s and 8s. Really couldn't say if it's faster or not. I don't break as much as I did with the bigger tires.

    I would say lighter tires would make the acceleration faster but not the overall top speed.

    Precisely as G-Rustler.
    Weight relates to inertia and thus delay in getting up to speed - and has a direct influence on drivetrain wear.
    Taller gearing / larger diameter wheels will give slower acceleration, more strain on the driveline at full power, but up to a point, permit a higher top speed - space, surface and conditions permitting.
