Evening, I just purchased one of the EZ peak dual chargers and when I put two brand new batteries on it for storing. It seems like it never de charges. The 1a light and the green charged light are lit and thats all it does. Never seems to de charge and go into store. It seems to be charging fine.
what's the capacity of the batteries you've connected?
I'm assuming you've fully charged batteries connected and trying to discharge them to storage voltage, is that correct?
It's an 8 Amp, 100 Watt charger and 0.5 Amp, 4.2? to 6.3? Watt discharger. It will take a long time to discharge a large, full battery.

The batteries are new

Yes, trying to de charge for storage.
As ksb51rl mentioned above, the EZ peak Dual has a very low discharge amperage so bringing a fully charged battery down to storage level will take a long time. Better/faster to charge up to storage level than to discharge it to storage level.
Agreed, the discharge rate of the EZ Peak is way lower than the charge rate. Mine sat on Store mode for 4 or 5 hours the first time until I figured out you need to run the packs down in the vehicle and then place them on storage setting where they come up very quickly.
