slash 4x4 help / not running full speed

Sorry I am kind of a newb with my slash. It is a 4x4 with vxl 3s system. I run a 3s Lipo battery. My slash was run fairly hard in a basement and was in the snow for about 10 minutes. It got pretty hot but nothing out of the norm. Ran fine up until i was done. I thoroughly cleaned it and blew all moisture off with compressed air. I tried to get wd40 on as many parts as possible. The car sat for about 3-4 weeks. I charged my battery into storage mode. Just yesterday I got the car out and it acts like it is running in training mode. The battery is fully charged and the esc is in sport mode but still acts like it is at only 50% throttle. Everything spins freely the front tires are a little stiffer than the rear. Everything else looks and sounds like normal. I really don't feel comfortable tearing it apart but I am willing to do what it takes to find the problem. Thanks for the help in advance. Any input is appreciated!

Yep training mode is my guess too. Definitely make sure your low voltage detection is on and you are using a proper lipo charger.

    Instructions can be found here:

I already checked it isn't in training mode it's in sport. And it's a traxxas battery and traxxas charger so I doubt I can screw that up.Oh and yes the light green I always have low voltage detection on.

I just tested it with the NiMH battery and runs slower than normal with that as well. So I guess that rules out battery or charging issues.

Yes it seems that every component in the driveline sounds and works as should. Is there any way to test the motor?

Pop out the motor and give it a spin. See if it still feels free.
